ROKCO recipe database is constantly growing. If you would like your recipe video or recipe with blog info to appear in ROKCO, just write to us and we will include it as soon as possible. Please provide us all the necessary information about your recipes. Most common recipe data, which should be provided (ingredients with quantities, servings, total time, recipe (text or video), CC licence....

YOUTUBE VIDEO RECIPES
There are thousands of fantastic recipes on YouTube. We want you to find them quickly and easily and select the once that suits your taste, time and nutrition intake.

By adding nutrition presentation to YouTube recipes, we reach thousands of people and educate them about nutrition intake.
WHY DO I GET FOR A RECIPE LESS RESULTS THAN I GET ON YOUTUBE?
This could happen for three reasons:
  1. Videos are not yet included in app. We are trying to add videos as fast as possible. If you find video, which is not included, just send us the info (link and YouTube channel name) about the recipe and we will include it asap.
  2. The app cuts videos results from YouTube trying to give you only the best videos.
  3. If you compare YouTube results from your Desktop PC and from your iPad, it is possible that on your Desktop PC you get more results than on your iPad. This is because of YouTube restrictions on mobile devices.

AGE AND GENDER
Nutrition presentation is presented for average man or woman:
  • Man or woman from 25­-51 years of age (gender can be defined in ROKCO app settings).
PAL (Physical Activity Level)
Nutrition presentation is presented on following PAL basis:
  • 1,4-1,6 PAL (Physical activity level) - Refers to office worker getting little or no exercise.
NUTRITION PRESENTATION ZONES
  • Red zone (bottom zone) - The beginning of red color to the end of orange color zone, presents lower daily nutrition intake/allowance, than it should be for an average man or woman, age 25-51 and 1,4-1,6 PAL.
  • Green and yellow zone (middle) – presents average and recommended daily intake/allowance for average man or woman, age 25-51 and 1,4-1,6 PAL.
  • Red zone (top zone) – The beginning of orange to the end of red color zone, presents higher daily nutrition intake/allowance, than it should be for average man or woman, age 25-51 and 1,4-1,6 PAL.
NUTRITION VALUES DATABASES
Nutrition values for ingredients and calculation are used from USDA database and other databases.
NUTRITION CALCULATION
Nutrition for included recipes in our database is calculated on raw ingredients basis. Very few of ingredients aren’t raw. For those ingredients, description is provided in ingredient text. Example: Oscar Mayer cooked ham.

To provide the most exact possible nutrition presentation we measure some of the ingredients. Example: when frying a chicken, we actually weigh the oil, absorbed in fried chicken. NOTE! – We do not include the whole amount of oil in the recipe for calculation, but only absorbed amount.
DIET VALUES FOR CALCULATION
  • Healthy – determination on included diets measurements.
  • 300 calories or less - Including recipes with 300 Calories or les per serving.
  • Low fat – Including recipes with 3 g of fat or les per serving.
  • Low carbs – Including recipes with 20g or less carbs per serving.
  • Low cholesterol – Including recipes with 20 mg of cholesterol or les per serving.
  • High protein – Including recipes with 10 g of protein or more per serving.
  • Non-Dairy:
    Non-dairy recipes contain no milk-derived products, such as butter and cheese. An occasional unusual dairy ingredient slips through our system and appears in Non-Dairy search results. We welcome your feedback if you come across an error! Please include the recipe's full title and the erroneous ingredient with your note.
  • Vegan:
    Vegan recipes contain no animal-derived ingredients, such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy products.
    An occasional unusual non-vegan ingredient slips through our system and appears in Vegan search results. We welcome your feedback if you come across an error! Please include the recipe's full title and the erroneous ingredient with your note.
  • Vegetarian:
    Vegetarian recipes exclude meat and poultry. They include fish, eggs and dairy; please search with "Vegan" if you wish to exclude those ingredients.
    An occasional unusual non-vegetarian ingredient slips through our system and appears in Vegetarian search results. We welcome your feedback if you come across an error! Please include the recipe's full title and the erroneous ingredient with your note.
